There are over 100,000 addresses that can be searched using this tool. When searching you need to narrow down your search criteria as far as possible.
You can search by postcodes, but bear in mind if you input W6 you will return 57164 properties, spanned over 1167 pages. SW6 2DA will return, just 31 properties on one page.
If you are trying to find 50 King Street, searching for 50 King will return matches for Kings Court, King Henrys Reach, Kingwood Road by searching for 50 King S, you will return a smaller subset, making searches simpler. Searching for "Fulham Palace Road" returns 1787 records, so try and be more specific, "50 fulham" will get you nearer to a result than searching for "Fulham Palace".
You can use the wildcard "%" to represent a portion of a search string. For example searching for King% will return King Street, New Kings Road, King Charles House, King Edward Mansions etc... If you are unsure of the spelling of a street name, try and be a little vaguer - searching for 10 weltje road - search for 10%wel%road.
The search mechanism searches appends wildcards to the front and back of the search string you enter. So by submitting King the query will be converted into the following search string %King% Searching for 25 Brack will search for %25 Brack%. It WILL NOT search for %25%Brack% In this case therefore 25A Brackenbury Road WILL NOT be returned in the search results. In order to search for all variants on the 25 Brackenbury theme, the query must explicity state the wildcard: 25%Brackenbury.
Searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "Weltje", "weltje", "WELTJE" and "WeLtJe" will all return the same results.
The results are returned in blocks of 50, only 50 will be shown per page. You can scroll through the pages using the numbered links at the top and bottom of the results page.
